Two Big Updates: Trucks & Better Results

We've added support for truck shipments and rolled out improvements to our packing logic. You can now plan loads for trailers and rigid trucks—not just containers—and get load plans that fit more in and waste less space.

Truck load planning

JustLoad.it has always been great for containers. Now you can use the same workflow for trucks: choose from European trailers (e.g. 13.6m standard and mega), North American 48ft and 53ft trailers, rigid trucks, and box trucks. Add your items, run the simulation, and get a 3D load plan and reports tailored to the vehicle you're using.

Whether you ship by container, by truck, or both, you get one place to plan loads, compare options, and generate clear instructions for your warehouse or driver.

Better packing results

We've improved how we pack your items inside the container or truck. The result: higher utilization andfewer “couldn’t fit” items in typical shipments. You should see more items packed in the same space, and load plans that are easier to follow on the floor.

We focused on real-world mixes—pallets, boxes, and mixed cargo—so the gains show up in the kinds of shipments you run every day. No change to how you use the tool; just better outcomes when you hit simulate.

What you can do now

  • Plan truck loads: Select a truck type, add items, and get optimized 3D load plans and reports for trailers and rigid trucks.
  • Compare container vs truck: See how the same cargo fits in different vehicles and choose the most efficient option.
  • Get more from every load: Benefit from improved packing so you fit more in and reduce the need for extra vehicles or trips.

Try it

Truck types and the improved packing are available in your existing workflow. Create a new shipment, pick a container or a truck, add your items, and run the simulation. You'll see the difference in the utilization and in the load plan.
